Tungsten Carbide Slitter Blades

Cemented carbide with high hardness, strength, abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance, known as the "teeth" industry, used in the manufacture of cutting tool, cutting tool, cobalt and wear-resistant parts, widely used in the military-industrial complex, aviation, machinery, carton board, cigarettes, metallurgy, oil drilling, mining tools, electronic communications, construction and other fields, along with the development of downstream industries, carbide increasing market demand.

Cemented carbide blade is made of cemented carbide, which is an alloy material made of a hard compound of refractory metal and bonded metal through powder metallurgy process. Cemented carbides are composed of a metal matrix composite used in the mechanical production where carbide particles act as the aggregate and a metallic binder (usual cobalt) serves as the matrix.

The process of combining the carbide particles with the binder is referred to as sintering or Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP). The cemented carbide (HM) can be used for the realization of tungsten cutting tools for the industrial processes of turning, milling and drilling or in other applications where high hardness is required. The carbide (HM) cutting tools are harder than the tools realized in steel or high-speed steel (HSS) and able to endure higher cutting temperatures (1000° against 600°) and then permit higher speed cutting. A possible disadvantage could be the lower toughness compared to the HSS. The tungsten carbide manufactures produce carbide rods, carbide flat bars, inserts and carbide burrs then used for the realization of carbide cutting tools.

Advantages of Tungsten Carbide Blades;
Cemented carbide with high hardness, wear resistance, good strength and toughness, heat resistance, corrosion resistance and a series of excellent properties,

High hardness (86 ~ 93HRA, equivalent to 69 ~ 81HRC);

Good red hardness (up to 900 ~ 1000 ℃, 60 HRC);

Carbide can also be used to make the drilling tools and mining tools, drilling tools, measuring gage, wear-resistant parts, metal abrasive, cylinder liner, precision bearings, nozzle, hardware mold (such as wire drawing die, bolt molds, nut molds, as well as a variety of fasteners, mold, excellent performance of cemented carbide gradually replaced the previous steel mold).
